The celebration of Eid Al-fitr and the accompanying events support the tourism movement in the Region.
The Secretary-General of Asharqia Chamber, Abdulrahman bin Abdullah Al-Wabel, said that the celebrations of Eid al-Fitr 1439 is organized by the Events Fund in Asharqia Chamber, under the patronage of His Royal Highness Prince Saud bin Nayef bin Abdul Aziz.
It witnesses 100 diverse events for a week that would be a major role in the local attractions.
Al-Wabel added that such activities contribute to the promotion of domestic tourism and activate the trade and economic movement, which is one of the most prominent cultural patterns to attract tourists to the Eastern Region.
He pointed out that the events fund - organizer of the celebrations of Eid Al-fitr in the Region - and through the efforts of businessmen and their contribution to social implementation programs and activities in various specialties work to provide as a valuable gift to the people of the region.
He added that the entertainment programs that is organized by the Fund events during the holidays as social and national events that witnessed a great participation of the people and visitors of the region and receive the admiration of many of them. The events are implemented in a professional manner that take into account the participation of the community groups and provide interest and entertainment for the family and the children.
The sites that will be set up for the events, where the safety of the children and the participating families are taken care of, are easily accessible and secured. So that everyone can participate and enjoy the interesting programs.
It is worth mentioning that the launch of the Festival and the Celebrations of the Eastern Region of Eid al-Fitr 1439 is witnessing exciting performances by the "nightmares" band, which achieved great success in the version of Arab Got Talent 2017. It is their fist participation of the band in the region, which would be in a number of locations in Dammam and Khobar.
The opening ceremony would start with the national operetta (strength and development) with the Saudi dances (Ardah), as well as the laser shows and Russian acrobatics, the children play (Alice in the Wonderland).
This starts in the first day of Eid at the green gymnasium in Al-Rakah district (Green Arena) in Dammam. The Green Arena's celebrations will continue until the 5th day of Eid. The Arena will host 33 events, while Al Rashid and Darin Malls will host 84 events, which is due to the great demand of people and the visitors of the Eastern Region for innovative and interesting programs.
The Events Fund has ensured that the events are diverse and attractive to all of the community, with the longest possible duration. So it will last for 7 hours a day at Al-Rashed Mall and Darin Mall. While at the green Arena, the activities will begin at 7 pm daily.
The events continue from the 2nd to the 5th day of the Eid in the "Green Arena" from the beginning of the evening to 11 pm. While, Al Rashid Mall and Darren Mall activities will start from 4 pm to 11 pm.
The events in the Malls are characterized as a family entertainment, which is offering a package of programs, entertainment events and instant prizes that includes a children's theater that presents cartoon characters and clowns, which is very popular for children, as well as the garden and the corner of the children, the creative studio, and the arts of hand, and the corner of photography, PlayStation games and other accompanying activites.
The events continue during the 6th and 7th days of Eid only in the Al-Rashid Mall in Khobar and Darin Mall in Dammam. They would have various family entertainment programs that are always witnessing a great number of families and children, as they are characterized by diversity that satisfies the passion of family and children.
